Welcome

Thank you for visiting my webpage. Over the past 30 years I have been writing articles and research papers about history, philosophy and religion. After all these years, I wanted to make them available to anyone who might be interested.

A bit about me:

After serving a two-year mission for my church in the UK, I pursued a degree in History at Leiden University. As part of my studies, I completed an ERASMUS exchange at Liverpool University, which led to a research year in Peru for my master’s in History.

Following this, I earned a Master’s in Education from Leiden
University and began my career as a History teacher. After several years of teaching, my school sponsored me to study Philosophy in Nijmegen, allowing me to teach both subjects.

My interest in philosophy has been shaped by my religious beliefs as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as my fascination with epistemology, metaphysics and philosophy of science. I completed a bachelor’s thesis on the philosophy of history and a master’s thesis on the philosophy of space, both of which I earned with honours.

I have spent my career teaching History and Philosophy to 15-18-year-olds at Rythovius College, Eersel in the Netherlands. Additionally, I serve on the Board of ISLI (the International Student Leadership Institute), an initiative where determined
and ambitious students from across Europe participate in a week-long leadership symposium.

Recently, I completed my doctoral dissertation on the Ethics of Belief after receiving a Teacher PhD grant from the Ministry of Education.

Alongside my academic work, I have also published several papers on religion, which can be found on this website.

I hope you enjoy reading my work.
